Top 4 Themes To Consider When Browsing Outdoor Decor For Sale

Posted on: 29 December 2016

Whether you're searching for outdoor or garden decor for sale, it's helpful to focus on a specific theme. A theme will bring your entire look together, as well as distinguish you from the neighbors. Below is a list of four different themes that will make your outdoor area both stunning and inviting.

Tropical Theme

If you're idea of heaven is enjoying fun in the sun, then a tropical theme is the way to go. Search outdoor decor for sale and go with a mermaid sculpture and a tiki bar, which will look great when placed by your swimming pool. You can even set up a few LED-lighted palm trees. A family of flamingo statues also work well with this theme, as do some colorful plants. A few tropical plants to consider include lobster claw (Heliconia rostratais), angel's trumpet (Brugmansia), and the flamingo flower (Anthurium).

Zen Theme

Living in a fast-paced society means carving out time for rest. Why not transform your outdoor space using a zen theme. Then you'd have a peaceful place to retreat at the end of a long day. A few outdoor decor items that would work well with this theme are an Asian garden tiered fountain, a Japanese pagoda lantern statue that provides soft lighting, and a zen circular sun bed. When it comes to plants, try adding a bamboo mini garden or a money tree.

Country Theme

Design your outdoor living space to reflect a charming country theme. Erect a tire swing for the kids and a hammock for the adults before adding a wooden porch swing. An Amish wagon garden planter, a birdhouse designed to resemble an old country store, and a rooster hanging sign also go well with this theme. If you have the room, plant a vegetable garden. Flower gardens that contain Erigeron daisies, poppies, and wisteria will add plenty of color and complete your country look.

Vintage Theme

Give your backyard space a classy feel with a vintage theme. Start off adding a string or two of Edison lights and then complement the space with an old-fashioned sundial. Place a few rocking chairs on the porch and use an old distressed chest as the coffee table. When browsing the garden decor for sale, look for old tins that can be used as planters. A few flowers that go well with a vintage theme include a rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus), a porcelain berry (Ampelopsis brevipedunculata), and a rain lily (Habranthus robustus).
